Sekhar Kammula Confirms Rana as Lead in Upcoming Leader 2

Sekhar Kammula, celebrated for his thoughtful storytelling, has officially confirmed that Rana Daggubati will headline his much-anticipated sequel, Leader 2. This announcement adds excitement for fans who have followed Kammula’s journey since the original Leader, a film that has grown in stature over the years.

Reflecting on the past, Kammula shared that Leader initially had a lukewarm reception, leaving him disappointed despite his dedication and belief in the project. He recalled, however, that the film received high praise from the legendary Dasari Narayana Rao, who described the second half as exceptional and predicted its enduring legacy.

Speaking about Leader 2, the director revealed, "I did not make any statement on Leader 2 and revealed that the script work is underway and he has actors in the mind."
