Shah Rukh Khan has officially put an end to speculation about the release of his upcoming film King, confirming that the movie will hit theatres on December 24, 2026, just in time for Christmas. The Bollywood superstar addressed fans directly during a recent interactive session on X, stating that the team is taking extra time to ensure the film delivers on expectations.

King is directed by Sidharth Anand, known for his recent blockbuster collaborations with major stars, and features a powerhouse ensemble including Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Abhay Verma, and Arshad Warsi. SRK shared that the project has been physically demanding, mentioning that he sustained a few injuries during production. He also highlighted that King will blend action with emotional and comedic elements, aiming to appeal to a wide audience.
