Shine Tom Chacko's Comments Stir Tollywood

Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko has ignited controversy with his recent remarks about the production pace of Telugu cinema, voiced during the launch of the song 'Oriya Pilla' from Sree Vishnu's upcoming film Comrade Kalyan. Shine, who plays the main antagonist in the film, shared his bewilderment at the lengthy shooting schedules in Tollywood compared to Malayalam and Tamil industries.

Shine Tom Chacko, known for his busy schedule across South Indian cinema, has previously acted in Telugu films like Dasara, Rangabali, Devara, Robinhood, and Daaku Maharaaj. Despite his growing presence in Tollywood, Shine admitted that the extended production timelines remain a puzzle for him. He pointed out that "Comrade Kalyan went on floors in February last year and is still under production," wondering aloud why a single Telugu film might take nearly 18 months to finish.

He elaborated on the practical issues faced by actors: "Maintaining the same hairstyle, beard and body language for a character over such a long period becomes challenging, especially when they are simultaneously working on multiple films. Coordinating dates with different directors and switching back to an older look repeatedly turns into a difficult task," Shine stated. His comments, though delivered lightheartedly, have sparked renewed debate among fans and industry insiders about production practices in Tollywood.

With Shine Tom Chacko continuing to juggle roles in multiple industries, all eyes will be on the release of Comrade Kalyan and whether his remarks prompt any change in Telugu film production routines.
