Sree Vishnu’s upcoming film, Comrade Kalyan, has officially locked its theatrical release for October 9, 2026. Known for his versatile roles in recent Telugu cinema, Sree Vishnu takes on a new challenge with this project, which is set against the Andhra–Odisha border in 1992. The film is directed by Janakiram Marella, who brings a fresh perspective to this period drama.
Mahima Nambiar joins Sree Vishnu as the female lead, while the supporting cast features Radhika Sarathkumar, Shine Tom Chacko, and Upendra Limaye in pivotal roles. The project is presented by Kona Venkat and produced by Venkata Krishna Karnati and Seetha Karnati under the Skanda Vahana Motion Pictures LLP banner, adding notable industry backing to the film.
The announcement of the release date came on the eve of Independence Day, adding a patriotic flavour to the film’s promotional campaign. So far, two songs from Comrade Kalyan have been released, giving audiences a glimpse into Vijay Bulganin’s musical contribution. The team is preparing to ramp up promotions in the coming weeks, aiming to build anticipation ahead of the October release.
