Sreeleela Begins Second Hindi Film with Janhvi Kapoor Amidst Flop Concerns

Sreeleela has started filming her second Hindi movie, teaming up with Janhvi Kapoor for an untitled romantic thriller that is currently being shot in Nainital, Uttarakhand. This film marks Sreeleela’s follow-up in Bollywood after her earlier Hindi debut, but it comes at a time when industry observers are questioning her recent track record, noting several underwhelming box-office performances in Telugu cinema.

Directed by Umesh Bist, known for his work on 'Pagglait' and 'The Trial Season 2', the film explores the dynamics between two young women who become fixated on the same man, played by Siddharth Gupta. The fresh pairing of Janhvi and Sreeleela is drawing attention, particularly since it is their first collaboration and a major highlight of the project.

Produced by Ektaa Kapoor and Guneet Monga under the banners of Balaji Motion Pictures and Sikhya Entertainment, the film brings together some of Bollywood’s most prominent backers. The production kicked off its first schedule recently, as confirmed by the latest reports.

Despite the excitement around the cast and the scenic shoot location, there is a sense of caution among trade analysts. Sreeleela’s recent films have not fared well at the box office, raising questions about whether this high-profile project can help her reverse that trend. For now, the team is focusing on completing the initial schedule in Uttarakhand, with more updates expected as filming progresses.
