Sumanth Promises Goosebumps in Mahendragiri Varahi Pre-Climax, Climax

Sumanth is gearing up for the release of his high-budget devotional action thriller, Mahendragiri Varahi, which hits theatres worldwide on September 11. Known for his versatile roles, Sumanth takes on the character of a modern YouTuber who challenges superstitions, blending contemporary themes with deep-rooted devotional elements. The film is directed by Santossh Jagarlapudi and produced by Madhu and Laxman, marking the most expensive project of Sumanth’s career so far.

The movie recently completed its censor formalities, securing a U/A certificate. Sumanth shared that the story was finalized three years ago, well before the current trend of devotional films took off. He expressed confidence in the film’s ability to captivate audiences, especially during the interval, pre-climax, and climax, which he described as delivering a "massive high." Sumanth stated, "Anup Rubens music and BGM will give literal goosebumps," highlighting the film’s strong musical backbone.

He also praised co-stars Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Aishwarya Rajesh for their performances, crediting them with elevating the film. Sumanth emphasized that director Santossh’s deep knowledge of puranas, vedas, and mythology has resulted in a tightly woven narrative that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats.

Earlier this year, the film generated significant buzz with its teaser and trailer, which received a positive response from audiences. The production team’s unique promotional efforts, such as installing Goddess Varahi idols at theatres, further heightened anticipation.
