Sumanth Prabhas, known for his recent impactful performances, took center stage at the press meet for his upcoming Telugu film ‘Romanchakam’, which is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release on September 3. The film, produced by Pranay Reddy Vanga and presented by Sandeep Reddy Vanga under the Bhadrakali Pictures banner, features Ananthika Sanilkumar alongside Sumanth and is directed by Venu Gopal Reddy.
At the event, Sumanth expressed his excitement about collaborating with Bhadrakali Pictures, describing it as a dream opportunity. He revealed that the film's announcement was made only after the entire shoot had wrapped up, which sparked curiosity among many, including his own family. Sumanth recounted how he first learned about the project from Sandeep Reddy Vanga during a meeting at the SIIMA Awards in Dubai, saying, “He said, ‘There is a crazy story. Do you want to hear it?’ I was so excited that I came back to India the next day.”
Sumanth also highlighted the rigorous preparation process, sharing that director Venugopal Reddy had him rehearse for six months. He expected an intense narrative but was surprised by the comedic direction the story took. “Venugopal anna narrated the story for two and a half hours, and I laughed non-stop throughout those two and a half hours,” Sumanth said. He praised the director’s ability to translate the script to screen and credited him for pushing him to deliver a fresh performance.
The actor also commended his co-star Ananthika Sanilkumar and the supporting cast, stating that every character would leave a mark on audiences. Sumanth described the film’s title as fresh and assured that ‘Romanchakam’ would be a super entertainer for moviegoers. Earlier this year, the release of the first single 'Radha Ramana' from ‘Romanchakam’ generated buzz among fans, and the title track was noted for its energetic and romantic vibe. With the release date approaching, anticipation is building for this youthful entertainer.
