Known for his versatile roles, Sundeep Kishan now steps into a striking warrior avatar for this project, which aims to blend the magic of childhood Chandamama tales with the scale of modern cinema.
Directed by Ugandhar Muni, who previously gained attention with Shambhala, Karikaala is being produced by Mahidhar Reddy and Rajashekhar Annabhimoju under the Shining Pictures banner. The film promises to create a vivid world filled with mystical powers, ancient kingdoms, and legendary creatures, moving beyond the conventions of typical fantasy adventures.
The first-look poster, unveiled at the launch, showcased Sundeep Kishan in a powerful new avatar, generating buzz among fans and on social media. Joining him are Catherine Tresa, Sakkshi Mhadolkar, and Gayatri Bhardwaj as the female leads, adding further excitement to the ensemble.
Karikaala is being developed as a pan-India project, with releases planned in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi, expanding its reach across major markets. The filmmakers have structured the story as a two-part saga: Chapter 1 is scheduled for a worldwide release on July 2, 2027, followed by Chapter 2 on October 28, 2027. This approach reflects the team’s confidence in the scale and appeal of the narrative.
With its blend of mythology, fantasy, and social themes, Karikaala is set to offer a cinematic experience that stands apart from conventional genre fare. The film’s launch event and first glimpse have already set high expectations for what’s to come.
