Sundeep Kishan Opens Up on Unexpected Direction Duties During Sigma Shoot

Sundeep Kishan, gearing up for the release of his latest film Sigma, shared a surprising behind-the-scenes story during the movie's promotions. Sigma, which marks the directorial debut of Jason Sanjay—son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay—features Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah in the lead roles. The film is set to hit theatres this Friday.

While discussing his experiences, Sundeep Kishan recounted an unusual situation from a previous project involving a debutant director. He revealed, "I don’t want to name him, but while I was working on a film, the director (debutant) started crying on the second day of the shoot, saying he didn’t know direction. For the next one week, I handled the direction. Later, someone else took responsibility. The climax was directed by a different person again. To our surprise, the movie did well. It shaped up well too."

Reflecting on the incident, Sundeep Kishan added, "I wondered how I should react when I saw him crying. Everyone was looking at me not knowing how to proceed further. If the producers got to know, they would stop the movie. I found a solution and went ahead. Every time, we learn something new."

Sigma has already generated attention, not only for Jason Sanjay's directorial debut but also for the dynamic pairing of Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah. Earlier this month, Jason Sanjay praised Sundeep Kishan at the film’s pre-release event, highlighting the collaborative spirit on set. With the film’s release just days away, fans are eager to see how this unique team effort translates on screen.
