Suriya and Chandoo Mondeti Film Still on Cards, Confirms Director

Suriya and director Chandoo Mondeti have discussed working together on a film, with Mondeti confirming that the project is still a possibility. After the success of his spiritual thriller Karthikeya 2, Chandoo Mondeti had approached the Tamil superstar with a script, and both parties showed interest in collaborating. However, circumstances at the time prevented the project from moving forward.

Chandoo Mondeti recently addressed the topic, stating that a film with Suriya is definitely something he wants to pursue. The director explained that while the collaboration did not materialise earlier, it remains in his plans and will happen when the timing is right. "There are a few heroes I wish to work with during my career, and Suriya is definitely one of them," the director said, underlining his enthusiasm for the partnership.

Following Karthikeya 2, Chandoo Mondeti shifted his focus to Thandel, which stars Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi. This project became his next major venture, further cementing his reputation for choosing diverse stories. Suriya, meanwhile, has been enjoying a strong run, with his film Karuppu drawing attention and his schedule remaining packed with new projects.

Currently, Chandoo Mondeti is immersed in the early development stages of Mahakaal, a film set to feature Rana Daggubati and Akshay Kumar. The movie, inspired by the Ujjain Mahakal temple, is in pre-production, with discussions ongoing. The director is also set to helm a story penned by Sanjay Leela Bhansali after Mahakaal. With both Suriya and Chandoo Mondeti expressing interest, fans continue to watch for updates on their potential collaboration.
