Suriya Teams Up With TJ Gnanavel for Suriya48, Shoot Begins September

Suriya has officially locked his next major project, Suriya48, with acclaimed director TJ Gnanavel, reuniting the much-admired Jai Bhim combo. This announcement comes on the heels of Suriya's recent relief and box office momentum from Karuppu.

The actor, currently in the midst of filming his 47th venture with Aavesham director Jithu Madhavan, is reportedly planning for a grand Sankranthi 2027 release for that film. Meanwhile, Suriya48 has generated significant anticipation among fans, as the star was said to be highly impressed with Gnanavel's final narration before giving his green signal. The production will be under Suriya's own Zhagaram Studios banner, with the shoot scheduled to commence in September once Suriya wraps his ongoing commitments.

Adding to the buzz, Suriya recently completed his straight Telugu film Vishwanath and Sons, helmed by Venky Atluri, which is targeting a release around September or October this year. With two major projects lined up back-to-back, excitement is building on social media and among Tollywood circles.
