Suriya's Vishwanath & Sons Sees 629% Surge in Bookings Pre-Release

Suriya's latest film, Vishwanath & Sons, directed by Venky Atluri, made headlines with a remarkable surge in advance bookings ahead of its theatrical release. The film, which also features Mamitha Baiju in a lead role, was set for a grand launch in both Tamil and Telugu languages.

When bookings first opened, Vishwanath & Sons registered approximately 16,000 ticket sales across both languages on BookMyShow. However, within the last 24 hours before release, that number soared to 116,580—a staggering 629% increase. This sharp rise in ticket sales reflected a growing excitement among moviegoers, with the film's buzz intensifying as the release date approached.

The ensemble cast includes Radhika Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Viva Harsha, and Nassar, each bringing their own fan following to the project. The film was produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, with music composed by G V Prakash Kumar, adding further anticipation among fans of the composer.

Industry observers noted that such a dramatic jump in pre-release bookings is rare, especially for a bilingual release.
