Thiruveer’s much-awaited film Papam Prathap is ready to hit cinemas tomorrow, riding on a wave of strong pre-release buzz and recent headlines around its censor clearance. Known for taking on diverse roles, Thiruveer now returns with this rural entertainer that has already caught the attention of moviegoers and the industry alike.

Directed by SP. Durga Prakash, Papam Prathap promises a lively mix of humor and emotion, with early word suggesting a comic first half and a heartwarming, family-friendly second half. The film features Payal Radhakrishna as the female lead, alongside seasoned performers Ajay Ghosh, Goparaju Ramana, and Raasi. With music composed by KM. Radhakrishna, the project is steered by producers Rakesh Reddy Gaddam and Rudradev Madireddy under Krishi Entertainments, in collaboration with ETV Win Original Production.

Just before the scheduled paid premieres, the team faced a tense moment as the Censor Board withheld certification pending an NOC from the Animal Welfare Board of India. The issue was resolved at the eleventh hour, clearing the path for both the premieres and the theatrical release. The film now holds a U/A certificate and a crisp runtime of 2 hours and 12 minutes. ETV Win’s confidence in content-driven cinema, coupled with ticket pricing at ₹99, is expected to draw crowds for the opening weekend.

With energetic social media chatter and all hurdles behind, Papam Prathap is poised to make its mark at the box office. Fans and industry watchers will be keen to see if positive word of mouth can translate into a solid run in theatres.
