Vaazha 2, the highly discussed Malayalam blockbuster directed by Savin S A, has made a notable impression with its Telugu dubbed release, earning a solid ₹4 crore gross in just four days since hitting screens on April 24. The film's performance is especially remarkable for a dubbed project, maintaining steady box office numbers through its initial weekend.

Coming on the heels of its Malayalam original's record-shattering ₹210 crore global haul, Vaazha 2 arrived in Telugu with considerable anticipation. However, the choice to retain '2' in the title reportedly led many Telugu moviegoers to assume it was a direct sequel, causing some to hesitate, as the first Vaazha hadn't reached wide Telugu audiences. Still, positive reviews and an enthusiastic endorsement from actor Ram Charan helped drive strong word-of-mouth across social media, giving the film a valuable boost.

Fans took to Instagram and YouTube to share their appreciation for the content, with many remarking that despite the title confusion, good storytelling prevailed. The makers’ decision to time the Telugu release after the Kerala blockbuster run seems to have paid off, leveraging the original's momentum.

With success in both languages, the makers have now officially announced a third installment titled Vaazha III: Biopic of a Billion Girls, signaling plans to expand the franchise. As Vaazha 2 continues its run in Telugu theatres, excitement is already building for what's next in this growing cinematic universe.
