Vaishnavi Chaitanya Explains Exit from Chennai Love Story Role

Vaishnavi Chaitanya has addressed why she did not appear in the romantic drama 'Chennai Love Story', which stars Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Gouri Priya. The film, which released earlier this year, became a box-office hit despite receiving mixed reviews from critics. During promotions for her latest project 'Epic', Vaishnavi was asked about her initial involvement with 'Chennai Love Story'. She confirmed, "Yes, I was part of that film in the beginning. I couldn’t do it because I was a part of something else during that time. But I am very happy for the team that it brought them a nice success. Sometimes, we just couldn’t be a part of a film because we would have committed to some other project."

Vaishnavi clarified that her departure from the project was solely due to scheduling conflicts, putting to rest any speculation about other reasons. The role eventually went to Sri Gouri Priya, who has since received significant attention for her performance. As previously reported in late July, Gouri Priya's portrayal of a young woman facing heartbreak was highlighted as a standout aspect of the film. The production, featuring Kiran Abbavaram in the lead, benefited from this casting change, with Gouri Priya's performance drawing praise and contributing to the film's commercial success.
