Varun Dhawan’s Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai Confirms June 4 Release

Bollywood star Varun Dhawan has officially announced the release date for his upcoming film, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, locking in June 4, 2026 for theatres. The new date comes right after Yash’s much-awaited action film Toxic shifted from its original June 4 slot, clearing the way for Varun’s project to take the coveted post-IPL weekend.

Directed by the ever-popular David Dhawan, this romantic entertainer has generated considerable buzz thanks to its vibrant cast, with Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur playing the female leads. The project is being bankrolled by Ramesh Taurani and Tips Films Ltd, in collaboration with Maximillian Films (UK), further adding to its high-profile appeal. Varun took to Instagram to thank both Yash and Maddock Films for facilitating the schedule change, stating, “June 5th 2026 in theatres. Thankful to @thenameisyash and @maddockfilms for helping us reset the calendar as our film hai jawani toh ishq hona hai will now release on its original date. The first film to release post ipl.”

Fans have been quick to respond on social media, expressing excitement for the film’s return to its preferred release date and the prospect of welcoming Varun’s energetic screen presence right after the IPL season. The film was initially set for a May 22 release but now enjoys a solo run, which many believe could boost its box office fortunes.

With the new date now locked, anticipation is building for the first major Bollywood release post-IPL. All eyes are on Varun Dhawan and team as they gear up to bring this vibrant entertainer to the big screen.
