Mega Prince Varun Tej’s next film, titled Bhari, was officially launched with a traditional pooja ceremony at Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad. This new project marks the first time Varun is starring in a film produced by his sister, Niharika Konidela, under her banner Pink Elephant Pictures. The event was graced by Powerstar Pawan Kalyan as the chief guest, adding grandeur to the auspicious launch.
Currently wrapping up the horror-comedy Korean Kanakaraju, directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, Varun Tej is now gearing up to portray an athlete in Bhari. The film is directed by Yadhu Vamsi, known for his work on Committee Kurrollu, and retains the same technical team from that film. Set against a vibrant rural backdrop, Bhari centers on the sport of volleyball, a fresh theme for Varun Tej’s filmography. The recently unveiled first look poster captures Varun in intense sports action, generating excitement among fans.
To authentically embody his role as a volleyball player, Varun is reportedly undergoing a significant physical transformation, including weight loss. The female lead is yet to be announced, but the team is moving swiftly to commence shooting, aiming for a grand release during Sankranthi 2027. Music maestro Anudeep Dev is on board to compose the soundtrack, promising a captivating musical experience.
With Bhari, Varun Tej looks to rediscover his box office magic through a compelling sports drama filled with kinetic energy and rural charm. Fans eagerly await the film’s progress and its festive season arrival, hoping it will be a milestone in his career.
