Varun Tej’s Korean Kanakaraju Headlines a Diverse Friday Release

Varun Tej’s latest film, Korean Kanakaraju, has emerged as the most talked-about release at the Telugu box office this Friday. Known for his versatility in recent projects, Varun Tej teams up with director Merlapaka Gandhi for this horror comedy, which blends fantasy elements with a Korean backdrop. The film also features Ritika Nayak, Satya, and Sunil in pivotal roles. With its supernatural theme and commercial appeal, the movie has generated notable curiosity, especially after the trailer and songs received positive attention ahead of release.

Adding to the Friday lineup is KJQ (King Jackie Queen), starring Dheekshith Shetty, Shashi Odela, and Yukti Thareja. Directed by KK and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the Paradise banner, KJQ is promoted as a youthful romantic entertainer with action and emotional moments. The film has drawn interest partly because Shashi Odela, brother of director Srikanth Odela, is making his acting debut.

Anakapalli brings rural action drama to the mix, with Vikram Sahidev in the lead and Khagesh Tammineni directing. Set in North Andhra, the film aims to attract audiences through its emotional storyline and mass elements rooted in local culture.

Completing the slate is DC: The Bloody Valentine, directed by Arun Matheswaran and featuring Lokesh Kanagaraj—well-known as a filmmaker—making his debut as a lead actor. Wamiqa Gabbi stars opposite him, and Anirudh Ravichander provides the music. The film has already created a strong buzz among Tamil audiences and is now releasing in Telugu.
