Varun Tej's Korean Kanakaraju crosses break-even, turns profitable for UV Creations

Couple Friendly and Biker offered stability but limited box office gains

Chiranjeevi's Vishwambara, directed by Vassishta, targets Dasara 2026 release

Vishwambara is UV Creations' biggest investment, with high financial stakes

Varun Tej's latest film, Korean Kanakaraju, has delivered a much-needed commercial success for UV Creations, marking a turnaround after a challenging period at the box office. The production house, known for earlier hits like Mirchi and Bhaagamathie, had faced a string of setbacks with its recent big-budget ventures. Korean Kanakaraju, however, has crossed its break-even point within just a few days of release and is now running profitably, providing UV Creations with a significant boost.

Earlier in the year, UV Creations saw a positive response to Couple Friendly, which managed to avoid losses thanks to its controlled budget and good word-of-mouth. The subsequent release, Biker, generated positive talk but did not translate that into a strong theatrical run. Still, Biker was considered a safe project for the banner and earned appreciation for its attempt at something different.

Attention now turns to Vishwambara, the highly anticipated socio-fantasy film starring Chiranjeevi. Directed by Vassishta and featuring Trisha and Ashika Ranganath, the film has seen significant delays due to extensive VFX work. MM Keeravani is composing the music for this ambitious project. Vishwambara is now targeting a Dasara release, with October 16 widely reported as the planned date. As one of UV Creations' biggest investments, the film carries considerable financial expectations, especially after the recent success of Korean Kanakaraju.
