Varun Tej, the Mega Prince, is currently recovering after undergoing surgery for a serious knee injury sustained during training for his upcoming film Bhari. The sports drama, focusing on volleyball, is directed by Yadhu Vamsi and produced by Varun's sister Niharika Konidela under Pink Elephant Pictures with support from Zee Studios.

Varun has been actively preparing for his role as a volleyball player, embracing rigorous training alongside the cast. Unfortunately, during one such session, he suffered a severe knee fracture that required immediate medical attention and surgery at Apollo Hospital. The procedure was successful, and Varun is now recuperating under medical supervision with plans to resume training soon.

Bhari is set against an Andhra backdrop and aims for a release next year. While the cast is being finalized, fans eagerly await Varun's return to the screen after a recent phase where his films struggled at the box office. Meanwhile, Varun is also nearing the completion of Korean Kanakaraju, directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, which will hit theaters soon.

The team remains optimistic about Bhari’s production schedule, which will commence post-summer. Fans are rallying with support for Varun’s speedy recovery and look forward to his energetic comeback in these diverse projects.
