Venkat Prabhu, known for his recent work on The Greatest of All Time, has addressed the speculation surrounding his planned collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan. The two were set to team up for a sci-fi film under Sathya Jyothi Films, with pre-production and VFX groundwork already underway. However, the project did not progress to filming, leading to widespread discussion after Venkat's father, Gangai Amaran, made indirect comments that many interpreted as referencing Sivakarthikeyan.

Venkat Prabhu took to social media to clarify the situation, stating that Sivakarthikeyan remains “always a dear friend/brother” and that the project "couldn’t take off due to various reasons." He acknowledged his father's frustration, explaining, “As a father, his feelings are understandable when a film involving his son faces delays.” Venkat also emphasized that he keeps professional matters private, even from his family, and asked the public to move on from the topic, saying, “No hard feelings.”

Sivakarthikeyan, responding directly to Venkat Prabhu’s post, downplayed the controversy and reaffirmed their bond, stating, “Sir, we are family. Why are you taking this so seriously and responding to it?” He added, “I’ve told you this before, and I’m saying it again – I’ll always be a VP fan. I’m waiting to collaborate with you soon, sir.”

The exchange between the director and actor has reassured fans that their relationship remains strong, with both expressing openness to working together in the future. Meanwhile, Sathya Jyothi Films has moved forward with Sivakarthikeyan’s next project, SK27, directed by Ramkumar Balakrishnan.
