Vijay Deverakonda’s Ranabaali: Rahul Sankrityan Adopts Rajamouli’s Dialogue Approach

Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film Ranabaali, directed by Rahul Sankrityan, continues to reveal intriguing creative choices ahead of its scheduled theatrical release on October 16. Rahul Sankrityan, known for his previous work in Telugu cinema, recently shared that he made a conscious decision to reduce the level of violence in Ranabaali after test screenings indicated it would benefit the film’s overall tone.

In a new development, Sankrityan has disclosed another key detail about the film’s treatment of British characters. According to the director, the British roles predominantly speak in English, with Telugu overlapping only when necessary to maintain authenticity. He explained that English dialogues were retained as they are, especially in scenes where the content of the dialogue was not central to the plot. This approach mirrors the strategy used by S.S. Rajamouli in RRR, where British characters did not speak broken Telugu, a choice that was widely appreciated for its natural feel.

Sankrityan’s decision reflects a growing trend among Telugu filmmakers to prioritize organic storytelling over forced linguistic adaptation. The move has drawn comparisons to Rajamouli’s acclaimed handling of similar characters, with industry watchers noting the positive impact such authenticity can have on audience immersion.

Ranabaali, starring Vijay Deverakonda and helmed by Rahul Sankrityan, is generating interest for its attention to detail and thoughtful direction. As anticipation builds for its release, fans are eager to see how these creative decisions play out on the big screen.
