Vijay’s highly anticipated film Jana Nayagan is back in the spotlight as censor issues have reportedly been resolved, paving the way for a July release. The movie, directed by H Vinoth and featuring Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, and Bobby Deol, has been keenly awaited after delays led to a revision of theatrical deals by KVN Productions.
Distributors who acquired the Tamil Nadu rights for Jana Nayagan faced a prolonged wait, but KVN Productions has stepped in to address concerns, agreeing to bear bank interest accrued during the delay and ensuring no risk for the distributors. In a unique move, any losses from Jana Nayagan’s release will be compensated through Yash’s next big film, Toxic, set to hit screens on August 26, 2026.
The excitement around Toxic has only grown since its teaser release. Actress Huma Qureshi, one of the film’s leads, remarked in a recent podcast, "This film that they have made, it will leave everyone shaken," highlighting the film’s bold themes and the powerhouse performances of its ensemble cast, which includes Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, and Akshay Oberoi. Directed by acclaimed arthouse filmmaker Geetu Mohandas and co-produced with Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is already sparking conversations on social media.
With Jana Nayagan’s release date announcement expected soon and Toxic’s grand debut lined up for August, the coming weeks promise high drama and excitement for fans and the industry alike.
