Tamil superstar Vijay has accused a deliberate political conspiracy behind the delay in releasing his latest film, Jana Nayagan, which he believes could have been a significant influence in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Known for his powerful screen presence and now making a foray into politics, Vijay is contesting for the first time with his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).
Jana Nayagan, which features Mamitha Baiju, Pooja Hegde, and Bobby Deol, faced setbacks due to certification issues with the Central Board of Film Certification. The film’s postponed release has reportedly caused producers losses exceeding ₹100 crore. Vijay spoke out at a rally in Trichy, linking the delay and the tragic Karur stampede to political sabotage, urging voters to remove the DMK government, which he labeled an "evil force."
He emphasized his commitment to public welfare, highlighting TVK’s focus on education, healthcare, and basic amenities. The controversy has ignited discussions across political and film spheres, with supporters rallying behind him. Jana Nayagan is now slated for release on January 9, and fans eagerly await its arrival as Vijay continues his election campaign.
