Vijay Sethupathi & Sai Pallavi Join Mani Ratnam for Inji Vellam, Release in Jan 2027

Vijay Sethupathi and Sai Pallavi are set to headline Mani Ratnam's next directorial, titled Inji Vellam. After the underwhelming response to Thug Life, Mani Ratnam is returning to his signature romantic drama genre, a space where he has consistently delivered memorable films. This new project has generated considerable anticipation, especially as it marks the first collaboration between Sai Pallavi and the acclaimed director, while Vijay Sethupathi reunites with Ratnam after their previous work on Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.

The official title, Inji Vellam, was revealed alongside a motion poster featuring the lead pair. The film is scheduled for release in January 2027, with the announcement sparking excitement among fans on social media.
