Vijay Sethupathi hails Puri Jagannadh’s vision in Slumdog 33 Temple Road
Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi and sensational filmmaker Puri Jagannadh have created a major buzz with their upcoming film Slumdog 33 Temple Road. The much-awaited teaser was unveiled at a grand press event in Chennai, drawing attention for its action-heavy and emotional narrative.
Vijay Sethupathi, who has consistently impressed audiences with versatile roles, spoke highly of Jagannadh’s creative process. Reflecting on their previous connection during a remake project, Sethupathi remarked, “Puri Jagannath and I had a small connection before working on this film... I enjoyed working with him on this action film.” The actor confidently stated, “Slumdog will be a huge Pan-India blockbuster as I believe in my director and our story is intense.”
The teaser features Sethupathi as a blind beggar who takes justice into his own hands, fighting back against those who threaten the helpless. Director Puri Jagannadh shared, “This film is based on two real incidents and I am telling the story of homeless and defenseless people.” He praised his lead, calling Sethupathi “such a brilliant actor and he can deliver any emotion.”
