Responding to these concerns, Yash stated, "vulgarity is wrong," and emphasized that he has not even kissed in the film. He explained that while intimate moments are present, their portrayal is handled aesthetically, and the emotional intent behind them is crucial.

The controversy first erupted after the initial teaser of "Toxic" was released, with viewers questioning the film’s approach to female characters and sexual imagery. The song "Tabaahi," featuring Yash and Kiara Advani, further fueled discussions due to its intimate visuals.
