Yash Passed on PS Mithran's Indiana Jones-Style Adventure Before Toxic

Kannada superstar Yash, who recently faced disappointment with Geethu Mohandas’ directorial 'Toxic', was once approached for an ambitious adventure film by director PS Mithran. Yash, known for his powerful roles, had high expectations from 'Toxic', but the film failed to perform at the box office, resulting in significant losses for its makers.

During promotions for 'Sardar 2', PS Mithran, acclaimed for his work on 'Sardar' and 'Irumbu Thirai', spoke about a project he had envisioned with Yash. "The story I narrated to Yash sir is my most ambitious project. It’s an adventure story like Indiana Jones, with a strong emotional core. It’s truly my dream project, and I feel it would be amazing if it happens. Due to timeline issues, it didn’t move to the next stage with Yash sir," the director said.

The adventure film, described as having both thrilling elements and emotional depth, was never developed further with Yash due to scheduling conflicts. This revelation comes soon after 'Toxic' was labeled a major failure in Indian cinema after years in production, as previously reported in late August. The contrast between the genres—an Indiana Jones-style adventure versus a gangster action drama—has led some to speculate that Yash may have missed an opportunity for a more impactful project.

While PS Mithran still hopes to bring his dream adventure to life, it remains to be seen if Yash will revisit such scripts in the future. For now, fans are left wondering what direction the star's next collaboration will take.
