Veteran producer MS Raju’s latest directorial venture, the thriller Agadha, made its OTT debut on ZEE5 on September 25, 2026, after six weeks in theatres. Kamakshi Bhaskarla, Shravan Reddy, Ulka Gupta and Jovika Vijay Kumar play the key roles. Bankrolled by Sri Adi Varaha Productions, with music by Rakesh Venkatapuram, the film did not receive the expected response during its theatrical run and now looks to reach a wider audience on the digital platform.
Nayanthara’s Hi also began streaming on ZEE5 on September 25, 2026, four weeks after its theatrical debut. Directed by Vishnu Edavan in his directorial debut, the film features Kavin in the lead role, with Bhagyaraj, Radhika Sarathkumar, Prabhu and VTV Ganesh in the cast. Hi was jointly produced by Vignesh Shivan, Nayanthara and SS Lalit Kumar, and Jen Martin composed the music. The film did not fare well at the box office. Along with the Tamil version, its Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada versions are available on the platform, and its performance on streaming is awaited.
Allari Naresh’s Ramba Oorvasi Menaka, directed by Chandra Mohan Chintada and produced by Razesh Danda and Prasad Nimmakayala, was released in cinemas on September 4, 2026. After three weeks of its theatrical run, it is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. The film failed in cinemas and hopes to find a fresh audience on OTT.
Pooja Meri Jaan takes a different route: the Mrunal Thakur-starrer skips cinemas and premieres directly on ZEE5 on October 2. The film was initially planned for a theatrical release and later moved to OTT, and it has reportedly received an A certificate from the censor board, which an OTT film does not generally require. Directed by Navjot Gulati and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the Maddock Films banner, it also stars Huma Qureshi. The film was wrapped up four years ago, reportedly runs under two hours, and follows Pooja, whose life takes a disturbing turn after the death of her lover.
Of the four, Agadha, Hi and Ramba Oorvasi Menaka reached streaming within six weeks of their cinema releases after disappointing theatrical runs, while Pooja Meri Jaan will reach audiences on ZEE5 without a theatrical release at all.
