Dhruva Sarja’s period action film KD: The Devil has now landed on ZEE5, following its underwhelming performance at the box office earlier this year. The movie, which hit cinemas on April 30, 2026, struggled to attract theatergoers even after the release of its Telugu version.
Directed by Prem, who is known for his bold storytelling in Kannada cinema, the film boasts a star-studded cast. Alongside Dhruva Sarja, the ensemble features Bollywood icons Sanjay Dutt and Shilpa Shetty, with Reeshma Nanaiah and Ramesh Aravind playing significant roles. The project, produced by KVN Productions, is set against a gritty period backdrop and features a rousing soundtrack by Arjun Janya.
In a bid to reach audiences beyond the big screen, the makers have premiered KD: The Devil on ZEE5 in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. This streaming launch gives the high-budget action thriller a renewed chance to connect with fans across the South and beyond. As per reports, the digital release offers "a fresh opportunity to connect with home viewers across different regions."
With its arrival on OTT, all eyes are now on whether KD: The Devil will find a stronger reception among streaming audiences. Fans can watch for audience reactions and see if the film's digital journey fares better than its theatrical run.
