Sumanth Prabhas’ Godari Gattupaina makes its mark on OTT platforms

Sumanth Prabhas’ latest romantic comedy, Godari Gattupaina, has taken a bold step in digital distribution, now available for streaming on both Amazon Prime Video and Aha. This swift transition comes just three weeks after its theatrical debut, reflecting a growing trend in Tollywood to broaden a film’s reach beyond cinemas.

Directed by Subash Chandra, whose recent ventures have focused on youthful narratives, the film pairs Sumanth Prabhas with Nidhi Pradeep, promising a fresh on-screen dynamic. Backed by producer Abhinav Rao, the ensemble also features the seasoned Jagapathi Babu and popular comedian Sudharshan, adding both gravitas and humour to the story. The musical score, composed by Naga Vamshi Krishna, further rounds out its youthful energy.

During its initial run in theatres, Godari Gattupaina received a mix of praise and criticism from critics and audiences, as reported. However, by launching on regional favourite Aha, the makers are now directly connecting with Telugu-speaking viewers. This approach is seen as a second shot for the film to win hearts in the comfort of home.

With its expanded digital presence, fans can now revisit the film or catch it for the first time. It remains to be seen how the dual-platform strategy will shape the film’s popularity and future prospects for the cast and crew.
