Rajinikanth's upcoming film Jailer 2 has made headlines by finalising a massive post-theatrical streaming deal with Amazon Prime Video. The sequel, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures, has reportedly sold its digital rights for an impressive ₹160 crore. This figure sets a new benchmark for Tamil cinema, surpassing the ₹100 crore deal that the original Jailer fetched from the same platform.

Rajinikanth reprises his role as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, with the film also featuring SJ Suryah, Ramya Krishnan, and Yogi Babu among its ensemble cast. Anirudh Ravichander returns as music composer, while Vijay Kartik Kannan handles cinematography.
