Rajkumar Hirani’s OTT Debut ‘Pritam and Pedro’ Set for July 3 Release

Rajkumar Hirani, the acclaimed Bollywood director, is stepping into the OTT space with his upcoming series ‘Pritam and Pedro’, which premieres on July 3. Known for blockbuster hits and memorable storytelling, Hirani now turns his focus to the digital world, promising a fresh blend of cybercrime, mystery, and comedy.

‘Pritam and Pedro’ is not just another series for Hirani—it’s also a family affair, introducing his son Vir Hirani in his acting debut. The project is helmed by director Avinash Arun and boasts a vibrant cast including Arshad Warsi, Vikrant Massey, Boman Irani, and Mona Singh. The idea for the show, as Hirani revealed at a recent event, originated during the COVID lockdown after a conversation with the Mumbai Cyber Cell. "During the COVID period, I received a call from the head of the Mumbai Cyber Cell about making a film on cybercrime… I could develop it from home," Hirani shared, explaining how inspiration struck from a collection of short stories by Amit Dubey.

The series quickly generated interest on social media, with fans eager to see Hirani’s signature humor in a new format. The combination of a stellar ensemble and an innovative premise has set high expectations for its streaming debut.
