Sree Vishnu’s latest film, Mrithyunjay, is slated for its OTT debut on Netflix starting April 3, 2026. Known for his comic timing, Sree Vishnu ventured into a different territory with this film, which was directed by Hussain Sha Kiran. Despite a lukewarm theatrical response, the film now aims to reach wider audiences through its digital premiere.
Mrithyunjay features Reba Monica John in the female lead and Veer Aaryan as the antagonist, supported by Baby Uha and Sudharshan among others. The production was helmed by Sandeep Gunnam and Vinay Chilakapati, while Kaala Bhairava provided the musical score. Fans are hopeful that the Netflix release, possibly in multiple languages, will give this promising project the attention it missed earlier.
Alongside Mrithyunjay, the Telugu dark crime comedy Sampradayini Suppini Suddapoosani, which unexpectedly shifted from a planned OTT release on ETV Win to a theatrical run, is also set to premiere on Netflix the same day. Directed by Sudheer Sreeram and produced by lead actor Sivaji, the film stars Laya, Master Rohan, Prince Cecil, and Dhanraj. Despite mixed reviews in cinemas, the Netflix launch offers a fresh platform for the film to connect with audiences.
Meanwhile, the Tamil comedy-drama Thaai Kizhavi, headlined by Radhika Sarathkumar, will stream on Jio Hotstar from April 10. This blockbuster, which grossed over ₹75 crores, was produced by Sivakarthikeyan and directed by Sivakumar Murugesan. Its OTT arrival is highly anticipated, with expectations for dubbed versions to release simultaneously.
Other notable digital debuts include Gunasekhar’s Telugu drama Euphoria on ETV Win from April 2, and Aamir Khan’s Hindi film Sitaare Zameen Par arriving on Sony LIV from April 3. With a variety of content spanning genres and languages, April 2026 promises a vibrant OTT lineup. Fans should mark their calendars as these films get a second wind through streaming platforms.
