Theatrical run underperformed; OTT release aims for wider audience.
Jaya Krishna Ghattamaneni, making his entry into Telugu cinema as the son of late Ramesh Babu and nephew of Mahesh Babu, sees his debut film 'Srinivasa Mangapuram' now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The film, which also introduces Rasha Thadani—daughter of Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon—to Telugu audiences, is available in five languages: Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Directed by Ajay Bhupathi, known for his previous work in the romantic action genre, 'Srinivasa Mangapuram' blends romance and action, aiming to appeal to a broad spectrum of viewers across India. The cast features seasoned actors including Mohan Babu, Brahmaji, Naresh, Kick Shyam, Ajay, Vasuki, Mahendran, and Adarsh Balakrishna, adding depth and experience to the project.
Presented by Ashwini Dutt and produced by P. Kiran under the Chandamama Kathalu banner, the film's music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar. Despite a theatrical run that did not meet expectations, the film's arrival on OTT gives it a renewed opportunity to connect with audiences who may have missed it in cinemas. The multilingual release strategy is designed to maximize reach and accessibility on the streaming platform.
With its availability on Amazon Prime Video, 'Srinivasa Mangapuram' is positioned to find a new audience and potentially gain the traction it missed during its time in theatres.
