Sumanth’s Mahendragiri Varahi Arrives on OTT: Streaming Date and Platform Revealed

Streaming on: Amazon Prime Video Streaming from: October 2, 2026

Sumanth’s latest film, Mahendragiri Varahi, is set for its digital premiere on Amazon Prime Video starting October 2, 2026. The Telugu-language mystery thriller, which debuted in cinemas on September 11, 2026, is making its OTT entry just three weeks after its theatrical release—a notably quick turnaround for a regional film.

Directed by Santhosh Jagarlapudi, Mahendragiri Varahi features a strong ensemble cast, including Aishwarya Rajesh, Siddu Jonnalagadda, Malvika Nair, Manju Bhargavi, and Brahmanandam. The film was produced by Rajashyamala Entertainments and Bridge Films, with music composed by Anup Rubens. Sumanth, known for his diverse roles in Telugu cinema, leads the cast in this suspense-driven narrative. The film’s theatrical run received mixed-to-below-par reactions, as reported by industry trackers, but its swift move to streaming could offer it a fresh audience.

Amazon Prime Video will make Mahendragiri Varahi available in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, broadening its reach beyond the Telugu-speaking audience. The quick digital release reflects the growing trend of films seeking a second life on OTT platforms, especially when theatrical response is muted.

Earlier this year, reports highlighted Mahendragiri Varahi as Sumanth’s next major project, building anticipation among his fans. Now, with its arrival on a major streaming service, viewers who missed its theatrical run have a new opportunity to catch the film from home.
