The highly anticipated Malayalam sequel Vaazha 2: Biopic of a Billion Bros has stormed the box office since its theatrical release on April 2, 2026. Directed by debutant Savin S. A. and written by Vipin Das, this coming-of-age comedy drama stars social media favourites Hashir, Alan Bin Siraj, Ajin Joy, and Vinayak in lead roles, continuing the story of four young men navigating friendship, societal pressure, and self-discovery. Vaazha 2's opening weekend has been impressive, collecting approximately ₹17 crore net at the Indian box office and crossing ₹43 crore in worldwide gross within its first three days. The sequel registered the second-biggest Mollywood opening of 2026, behind only Aadu 3, and has already surpassed the lifetime collection of its predecessor.
Produced under the banners of WBTS Productions, Imagin Cinemas, Signature Studios, and Icon Studios, the film features a strong supporting cast including Alphonse Puthren, Vijay Babu, Aju Varghese, and Sudheesh. Positive word-of-mouth and a BookMyShow rating of 9.6/10 have been driving strong footfalls despite competition from other major releases. With Sunday collections expected to push the total even higher, trade observers are watching closely to see if the film can sustain its momentum through the weekdays. An OTT release date is yet to be officially announced but is expected in the coming weeks.
