Vadhandhi, the crime thriller series that made waves on Prime Video in 2022 with SJ Suryah at the helm, is set to return for a second season. The new season brings a major change, with Sasikumar stepping into the lead role, replacing Suryah. The series, produced by Pushkar and Gayatri—known for their work on Vikram Vedha—continues to attract strong attention on the OTT platform.

Directed by Andrew Louis, Vadhandhi Season 2 will begin streaming on August 7. The series will be available in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, expanding its reach across language audiences. According to Prime Video, the plot follows SI Moosa Raaza, who, after being transferred to the outskirts of Madurai, solves a high-profile political cold case. However, his apparent triumph is short-lived as he discovers that his actions may have led to an innocent man being imprisoned for life. The story then tracks Raaza's efforts to correct his mistake, even if it means challenging the state and unearthing long-buried secrets.
