Vijay’s last cinematic outing, 'Jana Nayagan', has now reached Hindi-speaking audiences as 'Jana Neta' on ZEE5. The film, which marks the farewell of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister from acting, was helmed by director H. Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions on a grand scale. Despite not fully meeting audience expectations, 'Jana Nayagan' managed to post strong box office numbers during its theatrical run.

The Hindi version, which had a limited impact in cinemas, is now aiming for a fresh lease of life in the digital space. Industry sources note that the film’s arrival on ZEE5 follows the standard eight-week OTT window after its initial release. With a star-studded cast including Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, Bobby Deol, and Priyamani, the film also features music by Anirudh, adding to its appeal for fans of South Indian cinema.

Earlier this year, Vijay announced that 'Jana Nayagan' would be his final film after taking office as Chief Minister, making this release particularly significant for his followers. The film’s journey to the screen was marked by months of challenges with the Censor Board, adding to the anticipation around its release.
