Andhra Pradesh to Launch Sanjeevani Digital Healthcare Statewide from January 1

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced that Andhra Pradesh will implement the Sanjeevani Project across the state starting January 1, marking a significant move towards digital healthcare. This initiative, which aims to integrate digital health records and advanced healthcare systems, is designed to transform medical service delivery throughout Andhra Pradesh.

During a project review held on Wednesday, Naidu emphasized the potential of Sanjeevani to bring about major improvements in healthcare accessibility and efficiency. He urged officials to ensure the project is executed in a way that could set a benchmark for digital healthcare in India. "Full-scale implementation of Sanjeevani, backed by digital health records, could bring significant changes in the way healthcare is delivered in the state," the Chief Minister said.

Tata MD, the official partner for the Sanjeevani Project, has been tasked with introducing new innovations in the sector. The company will collaborate closely with state authorities to develop and deploy the necessary digital infrastructure. According to officials, a comprehensive 90-day action plan is already in place, focusing on a baseline study, infrastructure creation, and the training and certification of healthcare personnel.

Preparations include training medical staff across all 28 districts and integrating the Sanjeevani system with both national and state health portals. Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav, Health Secretary Veerapandian, Joint Secretary Ronanki Gopalakrishna, and Tata MD representatives participated in the review meeting, underlining the project's high-level support.

The January 1 launch date gives the administration a tight timeline to complete the rollout, with the goal of creating a connected healthcare network where patient information can be accessed seamlessly across facilities, improving continuity of care and coordination.
