Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a significant contract from the Andhra Pradesh government to build two 47-storey office towers flanking the upcoming Amaravati Quantum Computing Centre. This project marks a major step in the state's ongoing push to develop Amaravati into a leading administrative and technology hub.

According to L&T's official statement released on Wednesday, each tower will feature a basement, ground floor, and 47 upper floors, together offering a built-up area of 37.5 lakh square feet. The contract, awarded on a design-and-build basis, tasks L&T with constructing the shell and core of both towers. The project is scheduled for completion within 30 months.

The new towers are set to provide substantial office infrastructure, supporting the state's ambitions for technology and institutional growth. The Andhra Pradesh government continues to prioritize large-scale infrastructure in Amaravati, aiming to attract commercial and technology-driven enterprises to the capital region.

While L&T did not disclose the specific contract value for the Amaravati project, it classified the combined value of this and a separate order in Delhi as 'Large', indicating a total between ₹2,500 crore and ₹5,000 crore. The Delhi contract involves building two Common Central Secretariat structures along Kartavya Path, with a combined built-up area of 32.8 lakh square feet, and is expected to be completed in 24 months.

L&T stated that these latest contracts reinforce its position in the public infrastructure sector and reflect ongoing trust from government agencies in its construction expertise.
