Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s latest film, Irumudi, has taken the Telugu box office by storm, especially during its evening and night shows across major cities. Directed by Shiva Nirvana, the film opened to enthusiastic crowds, with ticket bookings soaring on major platforms. According to reports, Irumudi has already set an all-time record for a regional film on BookMyShow, reflecting the immense anticipation surrounding its release.
Ravi Teja, known for his energetic performances and consistent box office appeal, has delivered what is being called his biggest opener yet. The film’s strong start is evident in the numbers from key urban centers: Hyderabad saw 302 out of 319 shows running at near-full capacity, while Vijayawada reported 74 out of 76 shows packed with audiences. Other cities like Vizag (64/64), Guntur (38/43), Kakinada (19/20), Warangal (18/20), Tirupati (16/17), Nellore (14/16), Kurnool (14/19), and Karimnagar (6/8) also witnessed exceptional turnout.
The surge in demand has prompted theatre owners to add extra screenings throughout the evening and night, with new shows being scheduled almost every hour in some locations. This overwhelming response has not only surpassed Ravi Teja’s previous best, Krack, but also set a new benchmark for regional cinema openings. While the final margin by which Irumudi will outpace Krack remains to be seen, the film’s explosive start has already made it a talking point among trade circles and fans alike.
