Megastar Chiranjeevi has unveiled a new philanthropic venture focused on providing free education to underprivileged communities, announced during a special Ugadi program. Drawing inspiration from actor Suriya's Agaram Foundation, Chiranjeevi adds yet another pillar to his decades-long charitable legacy.
His philanthropic journey began in 1998 with the Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust (CCT), which operates a blood bank and eye bank. The trust has collected over 930,000 units of blood, with 70% provided free to the poor, and restored eyesight to over 9,060 individuals through cornea transplants. CCT recently received FCRA approval, enabling it to accept foreign donations.
During COVID-19, Chiranjeevi launched the Corona Crisis Charity to support daily wage film workers, personally donating ₹1 crore. He and son Ram Charan also established oxygen banks across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and organized free vaccination drives with Apollo Hospitals.
With this education initiative, Chiranjeevi expressed that education is a powerful tool for empowerment and promised detailed plans soon. Fans have warmly welcomed the announcement, anticipating another transformative chapter from a star whose dedication to service matches his cinematic legacy.
