Popular folk singer Mangli, known for her vibrant performances and recent work in 'KD-The Devil', has responded to serious allegations of cheating and issuing threats, following a complaint filed by advocate Subbarao. The controversy, which has garnered significant public attention, saw the police registering a case against Mangli, her brother, and three others under BNS 351(2) and 352.
Addressing the matter, Mangli firmly denied all accusations, stating, “The claims circulating about my involvement in a ₹10 crore fraud are completely baseless. I have no connection with these microfinance traders or their business operations.” She further clarified, “My brother and I are only approached for professional events. We have nothing to do with their personal businesses or any financial schemes. I request the authorities to take strict action against those responsible.”
Amidst this, acclaimed director Venu Udugula, whose notable projects have drawn praise in recent years, found his name linked to the case. Udugula issued a statement clearing the air: “I was deeply distressed to see certain media organizations linking my name to the case involving singer Mangli. ... That is the extent of my involvement in this matter.” He emphasized that he is not named as an accused, with both the police and Subbarao confirming his lack of involvement.
With both Mangli and Venu Udugula publicly addressing the issue, all eyes are now on the legal proceedings, while fans await updates on Mangli’s future musical ventures and Udugula’s next directorial move.
