Prakash Raj has courted controversy once again by targeting Tollywood stars for their open admiration of 'Dhurandhar The Revenge', the latest blockbuster featuring Ranveer Singh and helmed by Aditya Dhar. The film, which stormed theatres on March 19, 2026, has set the box office abuzz and drawn applause from all quarters, including Telugu industry heavyweights like Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, NTR, and Mahesh Babu.
Aditya Dhar, coming off a string of successes, has delivered another commercial juggernaut with this film. Ranveer Singh's performance has been widely lauded, and the movie’s production values have made it a talking point across Indian cinema. Despite this, Prakash Raj took to social media with a pointed comment: "Signs of obligations are spreading South too.. #justasking." His statement, widely interpreted as a veiled jab at his peers, has not gone down well.
At a time when Indian cinema is basking in the glory of cross-industry support, it seems unfair to cast aspersions on fellow artistes simply because of perceived political differences. Celebrating good cinema should transcend ideological divides, and criticism rooted in personal beliefs risks undermining the unity and positivity the industry strives for.
With 'Dhurandhar The Revenge' continuing its triumphant run, the focus is best kept on artistic achievement rather than needless controversy. Fans can look forward to more collaborations and shared celebrations in the days to come.
