Ram Charan, riding high after his recent box office successes, had everyone counting down to the summer release of his much-awaited film, Peddi. But in a move that’s set the industry abuzz, the film’s release has reportedly been shifted from April 30th to June. The reason? None other than Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman, who is still working his magic on the background score.

As per sources, Rahman has completed the score for the first half of Peddi but asked for more time to finish the second half. Insiders reveal that director Buchi Babu and producer Venkata Satish Kilaru wanted to ensure the best possible output and didn’t want to rush the final edit. Even though Ram Charan was keen on an April release, the buzz suggests that quality was given top priority after discussions with Chiranjeevi as well.

Apparently, Rahman’s busy schedule with another major project, the Bollywood Ramayana, had left him little time for Peddi’s score until now. Now, with his calendar clearing, fans can expect the film’s first copy by May’s third week. The industry grapevine has it that an official new release date will be unveiled mid-May. Stay tuned—Peddi’s musical grandeur is just around the corner!
