Balakrishna Calls on Co-stars to Boost Telugu Cinema

Nandamuri Balakrishna, currently busy with his upcoming film NBK111, has made a passionate appeal to his fellow Telugu actors, urging them to increase their film output for the sake of the industry. The senior star, known for his candid remarks, addressed the ongoing challenges in the Telugu film sector during a recent public event.

Balakrishna, who is working with director Gopichand Malineni for his latest project, reflected on how technological advancements haven't necessarily translated to efficiency. "We have to save Telugu cinema from the crisis. Every actor has to do more and more films which have to appeal to the audience. The films also should deliver a good message for the people," he stated, emphasizing the dual need for quantity and quality in film releases. He further noted that despite modern tools, production delays have increased, contrasting with the swift film turnarounds of earlier times.

The actor also highlighted the importance of reviving shuttered theatres, linking their fate to the steady release of new, audience-centric films. With the percentage system issue currently under discussion in the industry, Balakrishna remarked that all actors are keeping a close watch on developments. Meanwhile, Ram Charan’s film 'Peddi', scheduled for a June 4th release, is anticipated as the next big event for Telugu cinema, with industry observers hoping for a smooth rollout.

Looking ahead, Balakrishna is set to collaborate with director Koratala Siva on a new project later this year. Fans can expect more updates as Telugu stars respond to NBK's clarion call for action.
