Dhurandhar The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar and featuring stars like Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R Madhavan, finds itself in the spotlight for reasons beyond its box office triumph. While the film, produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, has been praised by celebrities and audiences alike, it is now embroiled in a plagiarism dispute and social media controversy.
Filmmaker RS. Santosh Kumar has accused Aditya Dhar of copying his script, alleging that the production houses failed to respond to his grievances and even harassed him for taking the matter public. The dispute escalated to the Delhi High Court, which responded with an interim order. Justice Arif Doctor stated, "Until the next date, the defendant (Kumar) shall be restrained from repeating words and remarks set out in the suit (filed by Dhar) and all other allegations of a similar nature."
Amidst the legal drama, social media buzzed with speculation about Deepika Padukone's silence on her husband Ranveer Singh's involvement in the film. Trolls suggested jealousy or marital discord, but Deepika decisively shut down rumours by stating, "I watched it way before any of you did," and challenged the narrative with, "Now who is the joke on?"
With the court set to revisit the plagiarism case and the film continuing to dominate discussions online, all eyes remain on Dhurandhar The Revenge and how these controversies might influence its legacy.
