Pawan Kalyan, currently serving as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, has weighed in on Thalapathy Vijay’s high-profile entry into Tamil Nadu politics, as the latter contests the assembly elections with his newly-formed party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). Kalyan, who recently appeared in 'Ustaad Bhagat Singh', has extensive experience with the political ups and downs that are now part of Vijay’s journey.
Addressing Vijay’s political ambitions, Pawan Kalyan remarked, “I don’t give advice to anyone, even if it’s my children... Everyone is capable of doing things.” He further praised Vijay as a major star and emphasized that political participation is a right for every citizen, stating, “All of us have the right to get into politics, set up a political party. I think it’s great to serve the people with whatever role he’s into.”
Meanwhile, Vijay’s much-awaited film 'Jana Nayagan', produced by KVN Productions, has hit a rough patch. Originally slated for Pongal 2026, its release faces indefinite delay due to CBFC censorship hurdles and a major online leak. Six arrests have been made in the piracy case, while the Editors Union and industry associations have firmly denied editor or Hyderabad studio involvement after an internal inquiry.
Despite earlier indications that 'Jana Nayagan' would be his final film, sources suggest Vijay may continue acting after the elections, particularly to support KVN Productions. Fans are closely watching both his political fortunes and cinema plans, with more clarity expected after the April 23 election results.
