Ram Charan’s Peddi Readies for Record Release Amid Mixed Trailer Buzz
Ram Charan’s much-anticipated film Peddi is making waves ahead of its release, with the Telangana government granting crucial permissions for ticket hikes and special premiere shows across the state. This move paves the way for what industry insiders predict could be the actor’s biggest opening yet, especially in the Nizam region where advance bookings are already underway.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, who previously rose to fame with 'Uppena', Peddi has been in the limelight not only for its star-studded cast but also for the conversations around its trailer. While the emotional tone of the trailer caught some attention, a section of fans felt it left too much to the imagination. Addressing this, Buchi Babu Sana shared, “We have intentionally hidden the core point by not revealing much of the story. We haven’t touched the 50-minute footage while designing the trailer. That may be one of the reasons for the mixed reactions. There is no way we can reveal it in the trailer.”
Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, Peddi brings together a stellar ensemble including Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu Sharma, and Boman Irani, with music by the legendary AR Rahman. With multiplex ticket prices capped at ₹600 and a special ten-day hike allowed, the film’s premiere shows are generating significant buzz, and advance bookings in Andhra Pradesh have already sold out.
With all regulatory hurdles now cleared and expectations soaring, fans are eagerly waiting to see if Peddi can live up to the hype and deliver a memorable box office performance. All eyes are on its grand release and the reception it garners in the coming days.
